Scamwarning: Book Typing, Proof Reading, All types of Form Filling, HTML Tagging
by Rudolf Faix Monday, April 20, 2015 3:14 PM

FormsToday I got an interesting comment on one of my LinkedIn postings about scammer. This comment explains how the non voice processes are getting traded and why they are only offered with a huge upfront fee.

You can find the original posting in the LinkedIn group: Process Group: BPO, Call Center, Data Entry, KPO by following this link. I have copied the content of the comment:

Hello Mr Rudolf,

There are another set of scammers..who work very openly and have nice offices, technical support and sell 'work at home type' single ID's.The process is so well designed that an average skill person will never be able to get the desired accuracy. Losing money with very well designed reports which are many a times disputable. After a detailed research it was observed that only 2 to 3% of the people get paid out of which 50% get paid less than 50%.The business goes on like any life insurance company.Only 3 to 4% claim depth benefit.I made and algorithm to simulate the cash flow and it was observed that such companies make money with even 50% qualifying rate. They also have MLM type sales network. To arrest such pratice I started a FREE consulting service and a prepared a detailed manual how to identify such process and how to tackle accuracy to get best performance. There is also a one hour short course on all those interested to understand the pitfalls of the work.

Lastly we also found same data is given again and again with only 20% fresh data with an intention of disqualifying he working agent. The reason is the company has advanced tools to compare the agents data with their 100% correct data in their own database.

In short even a genuine process can be easily scammed only to make more money.

Typical process in this category are: Book Typing, Proof reading, All types of form filling, HTML Tagging.

Regards,
Vilas Unawane

Remember: Each upfront, any fee - however she is called - and any security deposit is only SCAM.

Call centers read the given scripts and conditions very carefully
by Rudolf Faix Wednesday, March 18, 2015 4:50 AM

As more closely I take a look in the offshore outsourcing business as more I come to the conclusion that either the offshore call center themselves should get deceived or it should help to cheat others.

I got the following email with attachments forwarded. For easier reading I have opened the documents and pasted their content into the email. The script shows how the customer is getting betrayed.

It is a game to make the called one afraid that he does not get his medication in the future. That is already a big fault in selling. That has nothing to do with a serious sale. It looks like the client has no chance to sell his products in a serious way to someone. For this purpose he need to use such criminal methods.

If you are looking at the from me read marked parts of the email, then you see that you get only paid if the lead is interested in receiving Diabetic testing supplies. All other medications are not getting paid.

Do you mind me asking the last time that you got your diabetic supplies in the mail?

Ok! I'm going to get you setup. I just have to verify some basic information.

-Verify the address:

Are you still located at _________?

Can I have you Date of Birth?

Also, can I have your primary health insurance?
(No Medicare Part B or Medicaid)
(Diabetics with Medicare accompanied with private insurance, Share private insurance with Pharma Rep)

Before I'm going to transfer you to the pharmacy specialist that's going to get you setup, I just want ask you if there are any issues with your health that I may be able to help with?

-(Site exaples-e.g. back pain, join pain, diabetic neuropathy etc.)

Because you are eligible to receive a new compounded pain cream at little to no cost to you. The pain cream is a much more effective option than normal medication.
Also, it will help get rid of any pain you may be having.

-Ask for the pain location (start with the most severely affected location)

Ok! Great. Just make sure you CLEARLY STATE that you are willing to switch suppliers to the pharmacy affiliate, so you can receive your mention supplies on time and on a regular basis. Just one second while I get the diabetic specialist on the line. She is going to verify your doctor and make sure you have the proper billing information for your insurance and then we will get that sent out for you immediately.

Please stay on the line okay?
----transfer call----
(WHEN TRANSFERRING A CALL ALWAYS PROVIDE THE DIABETIC’S PRIVATE INSURANCE TO PHARMA SPECIALIST)

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Agent Notes:

- Remember only transfer when the patient is interested in receiving Diabetic testing supplies by mail. This service is provided by our affiliate pharmacy.

- When a patient asks a question that you do not know, simply transfer the call and inform the patient "a diabetic specialist will better answer your question, If you would like I can transfer you now……(xfer to Pharmacy)".

- Engage patients in conversation that will stimulate a positive rapport without wasting time. Be efficient with your time and know when to hangup. Many patients will speak on and on with no intention of enrolling in our service……. Reports, Graphs, and Call-Data Metrics reflect a positive correlation between top producing agents to agents with the longest call time averages.
On average, the best agents spend more time on on each call because they stay close to the script, establish a rapport, all while speaking clearly and slowly.
      Ex: Confirm a street
address/dob/PolicyInfo/doctor/etc, Ask about the weather, mention a personal experience, discuss your health concerns, etc.. NEVER let a patient control a conversation. Stick to the point and get back to your script as quickly as possible.

- Remember only transfer if the patient is interested in receiving Diabetic testing supplies by mail. This service is provided by our affiliate pharmacy located in sunny south Florida,

I’ll suggest in this case making for your own security a recording of the transferred call. This is technical possible if your VoIP system is staying in the media path after the transfer. It uses a little bit more traffic but you have afterwards something what you can present to any fraud investing official.

The client is only paying per lead and it seems to be very hard to sell his products. Why else should he write already the fraud into the script?

If we take a look at the listed domains in the signature than we find out that:

  • seomanagementconsultants.com is registered at May 15, 2012, where the registrant, admin and tech contact is John Krawczyk
  • visionaryleads.com is registered at June 3, 2013, where the registrant, admin and tech contact is John Krawczyk
  • classesanddegree.com (2016-02-25 Link removed - Domain already not exists) is a new domain, registered at September 30, 2014. This site is already registered to an address in India and has a corresponding bad reputation.
  • diabeticdesk.com is also a new domain, registered at November 23, 2014. This site is registered to an India address and has a very high risk.
  • classesanddegree.com (2016-02-25 Link removed - Domain already not exists) and diabeticdesk.com are hosted at a server, which have one more high risk site on it: ropemediahouse.com
  • Interesting is in any case that ropemediahous.com and classesanddegree.com (2016-02-25 Link removed - Domain already not exists) have the same owner, who does even not know what is a street and a house number:
classesanddegree.com: Rope Media Pvt Ltd, Gurgaon, 122001 Haryana, India, +91.9818555403
ropemediahouse.com: Rope Media Private Limited, Vasant Kunj, 110070 New Delhi, +91.01244306053

If we take a look at the website www.diabeticdesk.com then we know why only leads for diabetic measurement products are getting paid. There is no other product offered then diabetic measurements. Drugs are not offered. For this the necessary drugs will not get shipped. It would be better to get a campaign from or for a drugstore. In such a case the call center will not cheat some people.

The name John Krawczyk sounds and seems to be a Polish name. In combination with the facts above I remember an old Austrian proverb: “Come and visit Poland - Your car is already there.”

It seems for me that there is an organized fraud happening. It can be possible too, that John Krawczyk is getting used from the scammer from India.

Scammer Exposed

UK: PPI – Payment Protection Insurance – the big mis-selling scandal
by Rudolf Faix Sunday, March 15, 2015 7:55 AM

If somebody gets an offer that he need not pay his debts for the case he lost his income for a low monthly fee, then this product will be a good selling product. On the other side insurance companies and their agents are promising you the heaven on earth to get your signature on the contract. The insurance business is like each other business a for-profit company. So the insurance companies are not enjoying in spending more money than they earn on a specific insurance. The profit need to get more and more without any regard to their customers.  For this they are inventing terms and conditions, which are for a normal person not understandable.  In this terms and conditions are the obligations of the customer very clear defined – he has to pay for the insurance. The rights of the customer are already not so clear defined. The cases where the insurance company has to pay are very restricted.  These restrictions are hidden very well in the terms and the conditions and written in a jargon, where even lawyers can have different opinions have about them.

Insurance companies and their agents are only salespeople. They are praising their products and mostly earning per sale. For this they are interested in a fast sale and not interested in giving a comprehensive customer consultation.

Insurance is only functioning if a lot of people are paying for it and only a few cases will happen where the insurance need to make a payout. For this the insurance will find thousands of reasons why your case is not covered by the insurance.

With the economic downturn in Europe a lot of people lost their jobs and liked to use their PPI insurance. At this time a lot of them got it that they have paid for nothing because valid have been the written conditions and not the exaggerated promises of the insurance agents. The insurance companies acted like expected and rejected as much cases as possible. Their customers used all instances and options which they had to get for what they paid for. As very much people have been victims of this practice they government installed the financial ombudsman service with this cases.

UK Financial Services Authority - What is payment protection insurance?

UK Financial Services Authority - How to claim for mis-sold PPI

UK Financial Ombudsman Service - how to complain - if you think you've been mis-sold PPI

UK Financial Ombudsman Service: PPI - your case with us:

Seven out of every ten complaints that people refer to us at the ombudsman are about payment protection insurance (PPI). And with a thousand new cases still arriving every working day, this is our biggest job ever.
With this volume of complaints, it’s probably going to take us years, not months, to sort out all the issues involved. This is why we have significantly scaled up our operation.

The Office of Fair Trading was responsible for protecting consumer interests throughout the UK. It closed on 01 April 2014, with its responsibilities passing to a number of different organisations including the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) and the Financial Conduct Authority.

For advice or help with a consumer problem, contact Citizens Advice.

In a good shape are the call/contact centers, which have been selling PPI under the name of their client and with a client provided script which they still have. In this case the client is responsible for the refunds to their customer.

All the call/contact centers, which have been using their own name for selling PPI are in a bad shape. The insurance will ask back their paid commission for the bad sales and has a good chance to win in front of a possible law court.

Remember:

  • The written word is counting in the case of a dispute more than the spoken one.
  • Confirm all phone calls by letter or email.
  • Keep a copy of all documents and communications for at least 8 years on a save place.

Fraud and Scam

The truth about insurances
by Rudolf Faix Sunday, March 15, 2015 5:54 AM

In Europe, only those terms and conditions of the insurance companies are good, which are compulsory required by law.  In this case, the insurance terms and conditions are governed by law. For all other classes of insurances the insurance companies are free in setting up their own terms and conditions.

The insurance companies are very creative in inventing new products. All this products have one thing in common: It should bring more earnings and in the best case no expenses.  For this they are inventing insurances against risks, which should never happen. The insurance policy itself is written in normal sized characters. The full terms and conditions are written in so small letters that you need a magnifying glass to read them. The insurance conditions are written in a jargon that you need to consult a lawyer who translates them into an understandable language.  To confuse the policyholder more, the attached insurance conditions are for all by the insurance company offered insurances and not only for the specific case. The purpose of this procedure is that the customer does not read and understand the terms of the insurance and that he trusts to the spoken statements given by the insurance agent. In front of the law court are only the written terms and conditions valid. If you analyze this terms and conditions you’ll get the result that all the possible requirements for a claim are excluded.

For example: You can make an insurance against fire of a potato field. You will only be able to file an insurance case if the potato field has been under water as the fire has started. A volcanic eruption is excluded as a natural disaster. If the unlikely case really happens, then the payment of the damages gets dismissed for the reason, that the potato field got destroyed first by the water and not by the fire.

Don’t forget: Each business is done to maximize the profit of the company and their shareholders.
