Offshore Outsourcing & Scammer

Blog about offshore outsourcing and scammer in the outsourcing industry

Scammer & Identity Theft: Thomas Tryon - safehavenleads.com

Thomas TryonIn this case we have not only a scam. This scam is combined with an identity theft because the scammer is using the name and the picture from Thomas Tryon. At WikiPedia we can find out that Thomas Tryon died already on September 4, 1991 - around 24 years ago. As already the name and the picture is a fake nobody can trust in such a case to the remaining content and offers. So be aware to make some business with such a person or a person with such a profile!

That the scammer is not living in New York is shown already the time of his postings. If he would life in the U.S. then he could not offer some leads for offshore because the data protection law is for him valid too. The fine of the FTC for exporting data out from the U.S. is US$ 16,000 per customer / consumer record. This makes his business uneconomical. I think that he is nothing else than a stupid scammer from India.

The profile of the scammer:

The original bio from Thomas Tryon together with the his picture

Found found at http://www.feedyourneedtoread.com/contributor/thomas-tryon/#full-bio-tab:

Thomas Tryon (1926 - 1991), actor turned author, made his bestselling debut with The Other (1971), which spent nearly six months on the New York Times bestseller list and allowed him to quit acting for good; a film adaptation, with a screenplay by Tryon and directed by Robert Mulligan, appeared in 1972. Tryon wrote two more novels set in the fictional Pequot Landing of The Other - Harvest Home (1973) and Lady (1974). Crowned Heads (1976) detailed the lives of four fictional film stars and All That Glitters (1986) explored the dark side of the golden age of Hollywood. Night Magic (published posthumously in 1995) was a modern-day retelling of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

Additional we can find at WikiPedia:

Thomas "Tom" Tryon (January 14, 1926 – September 4, 1991) was an American film and television actor, best known for playing the title role in the film The Cardinal (1963) and the Walt Disney television character Texas John Slaughter (1958–1961). He later turned to the writing of prose fiction and screenplays, and wrote several science fiction, horror and mystery novels.

Does SEO - Search Engine Optimization bring traffic to your site?

AlexaTo answer this question we take the service from Alexa, an Amazon company, which got founded 1996. This is the true pioneer in the world of web analytics and got the necessary experience over the years. How their data are collected and have to get interpreted is declared under the menu About Us on the Alexa website:

Alexa's traffic estimates are based on data from our global traffic panel, which is a sample of millions of Internet users using one of over 25,000 different browser extensions. In addition, we gather much of our traffic data from direct sources in the form of sites that have chosen to install the Alexa script on their site and certify their metrics. However, site owners can always choose to keep their certified metrics private.

Our global traffic rank is a measure of how a website is doing relative to all other sites on the web over the past 3 months. The rank is calculated using a proprietary methodology that combines a site's estimated average of daily unique visitors and its estimated number of pageviews over the past 3 months. We provide a similar country-specific ranking, which is a measurement of how a website ranks in a particular country relative to other sites over the past month.

Let us take a look at some actual ranking examples from Alexa (the ranking of the best sites can get found here):

#1 google.com
#2 facebook.com
#3 youtube,com
#15 linkedin.com
#26 bing.com
#109 nytimes.com
#173 forbes.com
#258 google.at
#327 google.com.ph
#1163 heise.de (a IT magazine publisher from Germany)
#1449 orf.at (the Austrian TV station)
#3894 golem.de (IT and gaming online news from Germany)
#5528 krone.at (an Austrian daily newspaper)
#10563 kurier.at (an Austrian daily newspaper)

If you take a look at all this sites, then you see that all this sites have a lot of content. The content is bringing the visitors and the site metrics are getting considered in the search results of the search engines. It does not help you if you make a site, optimize it for a few keywords and think that you get now a lot of traffic. If you have no content on your site, which is interesting for your readers, then they are faster away then they have been coming.

SEO helps you only in starting a website. If you are not bringing new information and make your readers interested, then your website will not perform. In such a case you can create back-links optimize for keywords and result will be that nobody will visit or revisit your site. That gives you a bad ranking and you can start from the beginning again, because you'll lose your ranking in the search engines.

We can see an example about such a result from a Skype communication, which I had today in the morning:

He: We have spent around $7000 for Data itself to run the processes but we went in total loss. So now we are mostly looking for process where the clients give the specific data

Me: The data, which you can buy, are already heavy used by other centers. Responsible for this is the data protection law in the traditional outsourcing countries

He: Yes, we use to get lot of duplicate leads looks like the vendor sale the same data to multiple centers. Just know somebody suggested us to generate our own data with by developing websites and taking SEO Help.

Me: You'll not get enough data from a website to run a call center. There are so many websites, which are never getting visited by someone. Promotion at the good websites will be very expensive. It will be only profitable if the payout very high, but there is another rule: "As higher the offered payout is as less sales will be done."

You can take a look at the ranking of my blog at Alexa and compare it with the unique visitors, which are visiting my blog:

Alexa status about blog.wwpa.com

Yesterday I have started a free service from geovisites.com, which is listing the unique visitors per country. The geovisites are running since yesterday morning. On the right site of geovistes is listed the full day.:

Screenshot GeoVisites.com

Do you thing that one from the 38 US visitors will drop his phone number? If you are lucky then 1 from 1000 will do it. You'll see at Alexa that 18 millions of domains, which are having fewer visitors.

He: yes.. now I understood the equation, it's difficult to achieve. We are currently running a Online Campaign for Drug and alcohol rehab which went online a month ago, and the SEO work was done by a professional still it didn't gave us any inbound call: www.dictionbreakfree.com

Me: Alexa says about dictionbreakfree.com: We don't have enough data to rank this website. You see, the seo work alone brings nothing.

Screenshot of the Alexa report about dictionbreakfree.com

That it is not necessary to register your site at Alexa is showing the example from one of my customer. He made only a website for having one. His customers are property management companies, with he has contracts. For this he made never a SEO or registered his site somewhere. The site weber-haustechnik.at exists already around 20 years. Even this site has a better traffic ranking then the above one with SEO:

Alexa report about weber-haustechnik.at

He: Oh God, i was having high expectations

Me: Seo is only search engine optimization. That alone does not bring visitors.

He: Sir i have found that when i look for process in Google search your blog is listed mostly on first page or second page ... so i think the quality of the articles also plays an important role in driving the traffic.

Me: Sure, the content makes the search engine optimization. Google is using similar data or the data from Alexa too.

He: I was not aware of that. We try to outsource SEO work to freelancers who were taking fewer fees. May be next time we should try with an expert who is good in SEO and content writing

Resume: Forget everything about SEO and tricking the search engines. If you like to get visitors coming to your site, then you have to write quality content about the topic of your website. Everything else is not more than a cat, which is hunting her own tail!.

If you are not permanently adding content to your website, then your website will be soon only a hidden secret in the World Wide Web. If you think you need to add only a few pictures and that is it, then you are wrong. Nobody is searching for pictures and pictures are not getting indexed by the search engines.

Tricking the search engines with optimizing the content for them, bring you only for a short time in front of the result list for the used keywords, but there is no guarantee that it brings you some visitors. As soon as they are changing their indexing algorithm you can get found as the last entry of a search result. Only quality content keeps you permanently in front and brings visitors to your site.

A website is like a store window - if the content does not change it will not attract customers.

Scammer are lazy - they are even too lazy to describe their campaign offers

Scammer are too lazy for a normal work, They like to get rich quick without moving themselves. They are even too lazy to write a complete campaign offer with conditions. For this they are only writing a few words as caption and their phone number or email address from a free mailer like gmail. In the case they are writing their phone number they are even too lazy to add the country code.

Screenshot: Scammer offers at LinkedIn

Such an offer can get easily changed to a requested campaign of a center. The phone numbers are mostly prepaid phone numbers, which makes it much more easy for the scammer to disappear after he got some payments. The center has nothing to locate the scammer.

Conclusion: Don't try to make some business with someone, which is too lazy to provide all the campaign descriptions in their posting or on a separate website. Make a background check of your future business partner. If a background check is negative or not possible then forget the offer!

As more campaigns of one person or company are offered as higher is the risk to get scammed.

Forget offers, which are hosted on a free website like weebly or webstarts. Such offers are only for private people to make their family site. A real company will take the afford of a own domain and will not hide themselves behind a proxy service.

Scammer: Gaby Anderson - stanfordonlinecourses.com

Each Scammer makes mistakes. Even if they invest a little bit into their scam they are making mistakes. So Gaby Anderson with stanfordonlinecourses.com is making mistakes.

Gaby AndersonHis first mistake is his profile picture. He uses the profile picture of a photo model, which gets found at Google on 436 search pages. The original picture gets found at questmarketing.org. He has used this profile picture on his profile at LinkedIn and Facebook [2016-02-25: Link removed as the Facebook profile under https://www.facebook.com/ganderson84?fref=nf already not exists]. He deleted already the picture from his LinkedIn profile.

The Stanford University has no reason to hide their domain registration by using a proxy service, They are proud about their name and they are even hosting their servers and services by themselves. Their online courses are hosted at http://online.stanford.edu/ This gets shown if we take a look at the domain registry data for stanford.edu:

As we know that scammer are lazy gets the website http://www.stanfordonlinecourses.com [2016-02-25: Link removed as the domain standfordonlinecourses.com already not exists] forwarded to https://lagunita.stanford.edu.

Let's take a look at Gaby Andersons offer in Facebook:

Facebook offer from Gaby Anderson

-Inbound / Outbound EDU Campaign-
Hourly Rate: $20/hour/agent
Payment Cycle: Weekly
Program Description: Take a call from students who's interested enrolling in college
Leads: Included
Dialer: Included
Voip: Included
We prefer centers in Philippines!
For more info you can contact me at:
Email : ganderson@stanfordonlinecourses.com
Skype : stanford.ganderson

You can expect, that nobody from USA will outsource for $20/hour/agent. Nobody likes to pay more then absolute necessary. In the campaign detail description is even written: $20.00/hour with $3.00/hour increase after 3 months of service. For this money nobody will hire an offshore call center. He can have it for the same price in the USA too.

As written in the announcement the scammer is preferring call centers from the Philippines. I got forwarded a Skype communication from Gaby Anderson:

Hello Mr.Anderson
[5/21/2015 10:55:34 PM] Hamza Ali Khan: Do you still have that inbound campaign?
[4:01:02 AM] Gaby Anderson: Yes
[4:01:30 AM] Hamza Ali Khan: Can you send me the details to my email please?
[4:01:40 AM] Hamza Ali Khan: hamzaalikhan7@gmail.com
[4:01:47 AM] ***  ***
[4:08:27 AM] Hamza Ali Khan: Great!
[4:09:29 AM] Hamza Ali Khan: So are you hiring on individual basis or call centers only?
[4:09:51 AM] Gaby Anderson: CAllCenter
[4:09:58 AM] Hamza Ali Khan: Wonderful!
[4:10:14 AM] Hamza Ali Khan: Please visit our site for the company profile smile emoticon
[4:10:26 AM] Hamza Ali Khan:
[4:12:05 AM] Hamza Ali Khan: we have been working with a number of overseas clients for last 8 years.
[4:15:03 AM] Hamza Ali Khan: Let me know what will be the process moving forward.
[4:16:44 AM] Gaby Anderson: Let me Tell you Directly before i pass you to my campaign manager CALLCENTER IN INDIA BANGLADESH PAKISTAN we require them to have a safety deposit with us justy to be sure they would comply to the job

Exactly here is the scam. A safety deposit has to receive the center and not the broker. The center is doing the work. The broker or the client has no risk especially if the provide the phone system and VoIP minutes. In this case they are able to stop a center even without any notice. For this the safety deposit is nothing else than a big SCAM.

A IP-check of his Skype connection locates him today at 10:15am Philippines time with the IP address 49.145.213.188. The geolocation shows that he is operating with his fraud from Manila and is using the provider PLDT.

Scammer: Fast Services 1, Inc - George Raul Franco

George Raul FrancoGeorge Raul Franco from Fast Services 1, Inc does not know who is responsible for his fees. It seems that he thinks that he need only to invent a call center campaign, post it at LinkedIn and he can earn money. Maybe he has been sleeping the last few months and did not get it, how scam is running and the most centers are already aware of it.

I know that it is not easy to get a genuine client. But with offers, everything is free for the client that is not selling, that is only gift giving. It is very simple: This one, which has hired him has to pay him. The call center makes the work why should the center pay for the work? The scammer proves with this kind of offer, that he does not have any contract with the client. If he likes to earn from the call center too, then he has to sell a setup fee to the client. This setup fee is normally the double high of the payment he likes to get, because the tax office like to get his part too and wire transfers are not free of charge. I don't think, that he will be able to sell this to his client, because his selling performance seems to be zero, especially if we take a look at his offer at LinkedIn Pulse:

WE NEED A TEAM OF 5 FOR OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE -   RETENTION ASAP!!! DIRECT SIGN UP!!!

  2. $250 - OUTSOURCING FEE (TO BE COLLECTED AFTER 1ST WEEK OF CALL)
  3. $150 - PROFESSIONAL FEE (TO BE COLLECTED UPON SIGNING OF THE CONTRACT)

As scammer are lazy is the description of the job very short in compare to the condition, It shows only that he has no idea about the job. He has only an idea what he likes to get.

A customer service job need to have access to customer data. The customer data are protected by law and the fines for breaking the law are high. Maybe he has been too lazy to read the article Data of 280,000 customers stolen: AT&T lost over $ 25 million before he has been inventing his campaign. For the case that he has not invented the campaign by himself, he cannot call himself to be a consultant in the outsourcing industry, because he knows nothing about this industry and his working value is zero. In such a case he needs to pay that he can learn the job. This is shown in his LinkedIn profile too. The only job, which he has done until now is:

The project manager of a call center (now increasingly called a contact center) is responsible for the daily running and management of a call center through the effective use of resources with responsibility for meeting, and possibly setting, customer service targets as well as planning areas of improvement or development. Call center project manager ensure that calls are answered by staff within agreed time scales and in an appropriate manner.

I wonder myself why he did not learn something by doing his job during the 2 years and 4 months? Maybe he has been the most of the time in prison?

He is even so stupid and thinks that a training for a campaign of a client has a value for a call center, for what he can take money. It has only a value for the client, because the center is selling the clients product and the provided information cannot be used for another client. If the client itself cannot provide a training for his products, then the client has to provide all product information or hire a trainer and pay for it. That is the problem of the client, because he likes to outsource and the client is saving money by outsourcing,

The same is valid for the "outsourcing fee". If the consultant likes to get such a fee, then he has to get it from the client. The client likes to outsource and saving money by outsourcing,

A "professional fee"? That is a fee which the call center has to get, because that are the professionals. The "consultant" has already shown in his offer that he is nothing else than a bloody amateur and he does not understand something about his business.

That he is to lazy to learn something by doing is shown by his comments:

We have our own company policy, let us respect that besides we are not forcing anyone if they don't want our policy. Respect. Thanks

As the only way of income are his charges, the scammer is not able to change his "policy".

Charging a fee is a scam? C'mon wake up!!! There is nothing free in this world. We are running a business and we are not the client, we are working for our clients, we pay taxes, we pay our staffs and we are not a charity foundation. Thinking like that won't get you anything. So tell me now, is it a scam? You should be thankful being we are transparent here unlike people out there hiding the truth and at the end will charge you then that is a scam. Wake up Miguel, and you're not my friend by the way.

With this statement he proves that he has no contract with any client. A broker or consultant gets paid from the client which hired him. In the hiring contract is written that the broker/consultant has to search for the best center and not for the center where he can earn extra. If a friendship is working only about the wallet will it be better to have an enemy than a friend.

Is that for me or to yourself? Shout it loud so you can hear yourself. As far as we are concern we are very transparent in all our business. People like you should stop pirating clients. Stop pirating and reselling programs.

Where is any transparency in the offer found? Even the kind of the product is hidden, Invented campaigns need not get pirated,

Try something different? What? Your style? Copying or I should say PIRATING and STEALING information then resell it? NO NO, we rather keep it this way. TRANSPARENT. By the way, how's being on the top 20 fraudster in this site? Beware you are on our black list here and we will do everything to put you and like you behind bars. WATCH OUT.

As the scammer sees, that he has no chance to sell his invented campaign, he is getting angry. That is the normal behavior of a scammer and I experience it nearly every day especially if a scammer likes to explain me that I'm wrong.
